Elysian Heights House and ADU

A new house in Echo Park with a home studio and an attached 1200 sf ADU in the front of the property. The ADU acts as a form of gate, with a courtyard and loggia leading you to the main house at the back. A spacious but cozy entry opens up to a double height public space where every room has direct access to. The expansion and contraction among various spaces, and use of natural material and simple color strategy makes this house both airy and inflated, but also cozy and friendly.
